CONTINUOUS BALL MILL

The Continuous Ball Mill is a type of grinder used to grind and blend materials. It works on the principle of impact and attrition. The Continue Ball Mill is divided in three main components. The vibratory feeder, ball mill and collector hopper.

Continue ball mill is mainly used for mixing, milling of the materials. It works with less energy but produces high fineness product. It has two types, wet mills and dry mills. The machine could use different lining board according to product requirement to satisfy different customer’s requirement.

The milling fineness depends on the milling time. The motor is started by the coupling which can reduce voltage and lower the starting electricity. The structure is divided into integral type and freestanding type Advantages of the machine are lower investment, energy saving, structure novelty, easy and safe to operate, stable and reliable performance, etc. It is suitable for mixing and milling of general and special materials.

Proc Tech Machineries India Pvt. Ltd. is well known Brand as a manufacturer, Exporters and Suppliers of Premium Range in Continuous Ball Mill in India

Users can choose the proper model, lining board and media as per the factors, such as: material's specific gravity and hardness, as well as output, etc. Continue ball mill is also called a ceramic ball mill, with drying work and wetting working by batch. It is used for fine grinding of feldspar, quartz, clay, ore, etc.

Working Principles of Continuous Ball Mill

This ball mill is a horizontal and barrel-type rotating device, which is grid energy-conserving with two warehouses. The materials enter into the feed sleeve shaft by the feeder and spirally and evenly into the first warehouse with grading and corrugated liner as well as steel balis of different specifications The centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the shell drives steel balls to a certain height and drops them to make heavy Impact and grinding for the materials. The materials are rough grinded at the first warehouse, enter into second warehouse through mono tayer baffle, and further grinded in the second warehouse with liner and steel balls. The powder is discharged through the grid and the grinding is completed

Ball mill is the key device grinding for crushed materials, which is widely used for are dressing and glass ceramics industries Such as cement, silicate product, modern building materials, refractory, chemical fertilizer, ferrous metal, nonferrous metals. It has both dry and wet types of grinding for various kinds of ore and other grind-able materials. A ball mill, a type of grinder, is a cylindrical device used in grinding (or mixing) materials like ores, chemicals, ceramic raw materials and paints. Ball mills rotate around a horizontal axis, partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium. Different materials are used as media, including ceramic balls, flint pebbles and stainless steel balls.

A shell, balls, and motor are the essential components of a ball mill. It is made out of a hollow cylindrical shell (drum) with balls set on a metallic frame that allows it to revolve around its longitudinal axis. The shell’s axis can be horizontal or at a little inclination to the horizontal. It has a partial filling of balls. The balls, which can be made of chrome steel, stainless steel, or ceramic, are the grinding media. The balls, which can be of various diameters, take up 30 to 50% of the mill capacity, and their size is determined by the feed and mill size. The larger balls break down the coarse feed materials, while the smaller balls aid in the formation of the fine product by eliminating void areas between the balls. The weight of the grinding media balls is usually kept constant. The size of the balls is determined by the feed and mill diameter.

  • Small capacity ball mills are used for the final grinding of drugs or for grinding suspensions.
  • The high-capacity ball mills are used for milling ores prior to the manufacture of pharmaceutical chemicals.
  • Ball mills are an efficient tool for grinding many brittle and sticky materials into fine powder.
  • The hard and abrasive as well as wet and dry materials can be ground in the ball mills for pharmaceutical purposes.
  • Powders for ophthalmic and parenteral products can be reduced in size.
  • Ball mill is used for the milling of pigments and insecticides for industrial purposes.
